There were a lot of places that the Agron 560 took us that were really fun to explore. But there is no way I could find my way back there to go enjoy it since I am extremely directionally challenged. There was a lot of areas where our phones could not connect to anywhere so we went at least an hour without service which was nice in a nice little get away that was not very far away. It was relaxing not to look at technology for hrs at a time when we only really needed it to take pictures of plants to memorize that are native to Kansas. One place that we went to get plants was Pillsbury crossing. Since I am assuming that most people know where it is at. It is a fun place to possibly swim when it is warm but sometimes people with trucks go and drive their cars in the water and park them which is not allowed so when the cops show up they tend to give them tickets as well as make sure people are doing what they are supposed to. It is another area that you do not normally have very good phone service in but it is really nice to unplug some days but when you get to town your phone will explode with messages. So always warn people where you are going or your loved ones will panic. I would not recommend swimming when it is cold but it also has a nice little jump off area to go into the water. It is very deceiving though since it looks super deep but is not deeper than about 5 feet. People just need to remember not to jump with their phones though because the water is murky and you will most likely not find it ever again same with hats and sunglasses. But it is a really fun place to socialize. People just need to remember to be courteous to others though. This year though we got the algae warning people not to go swim since the red algae is dangerous and can kill our pets that people often bring out like dogs. It is very important to check the news and other social media to make sure it is safe to go out and bring the pets outside since no one enjoys it when their family member gets hurt. I highly recommend going to some of the places where there is less cell service though because it is really nice to just be in the moment rather than to stare at a phone screen that desensitizes us to what is wrong with today. It is not in the past when kids went out to play now they are staying inside and doing video games. We need to appreciate nature to make sure that others have a chance to see it before the government or some disaster takes it from us first.
