Who we are

My name is Michael Brunson, a third-year PhD student in the Park Management and Conservation program at Kansas State University and instructor for PMC 210. This is my second year teaching this class and I wanted to try something a little different to encourage my students to both participate in, and also reflect on, a variety of outdoor recreational activities. I encourage students to not only relive favorite trails or fishing spots, but also try new experiences and find new places to explore. They can then share these experiences with you, the reader. As fun and rewarding it is to simply participate in outdoor recreational activities, it is through personal reflection that these experiences with the natural world can come to mean so much more. I hope you enjoy what we have to share!
