Otherwise known as the longest trail in the Manhattan area. I live near the South entrance and It is my favorite place to walk. I often take my dog. During the summer, it has tall grass and a lot of grasshoppers bouncing around the gravel path. In the winters, the grass is dead and you can see Wildcat Creek frozen with ice. Today, I went on a walk with my dog and we saw two deer in the distance. My dog had little to no interest in them as you can see in the picture, but I could not help but stop and just stare for a bit. Manhattan may be a city, but there is still nature and wildlife that make their way inside to explore. Seeing those deer today brought me joy. Still being able to see wildlife in a city is truly amazing.
